Since Coming Home

So here they are..... finally.
Below are the photos, in no specific order, of Gus and Ruby since his homecoming in April.
I promise to try and be better with keeping the photos up to date, as I know a lot of family and friends like to see the escapades these two get up to.

Here's Gus!!

He's home!!!!
We agonised for ages what to call him, and when doing a search for Great Dane items on ebay I came across items for " Gus, the Great Dane, Hansen ", who is a poker player. So our boy has been named after the world famous poker player.
As you can see, his mother is very glad to have him home. I think it really helped her emotionally when he arrived. She really perked up and was genuinely happy to have him with her. The mothering instinct was there again, and she was always checking on him making sure where he was and what he was doing.

10 Weeks Old

Well it is my final day with the pups. Today (10th April) they are 10 weeks old, and we take our boy home, and say goodbye to the rest, as they will soon be going to their new homes.
This is the day I have been both looking forward to and dreading. Leaving all my babies behind and taking just one back home with me is heartbreaking.

The day is over, and we have our new boy back home with us. I cried most of the way home, as it broke my heart leaving the other boy I had bonded so closely with.
I was lucky to meet one of the new Mothers, and she has named her boy Toby. It eases the pain when I know what my little girls (Rubys) babies are being called and where they are going to live.

9 Weeks Old

The pups turned 9 weeks old on the 3rd April, so here are the pics, better late than never.
It is drawing close to when we have to make that final decision as to which pup we want, and I am still torn between two. The one with the white patch on his chest, and the one with the black thumbprint on his head. White patch has hurt his leg this week, and has a bit of a limp, so hopefully that heals with rest.
I am going to miss the pups when they go to new homes.

8 Weeks Old

So here are the beautiful babies at 8 weeks of age. They are growing so much. I just love spending time with them, but unfortunately I know the day is coming where I have to make my decision and pick just one.
